How many of us consider ourselves to be priests, or will be priests, to the Most High?
Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
1Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Question:
Seeing then that this is a given, not earned, title, how many of us have looked into what the special duties and responsibilities of a priest are?
Does it matter if we know that answer?
The 1Peter passage indicates there is a present tense to the office.
Do you know what is expected of you as a priest?
What if you ignore the assignment?
What if you turn down the privilege?
